Review // PERFORM: Raw Plant Protein & BCAA – Vivo Life

Being dairy intolerant meant that at the beginning of my fitness journey I struggled trying to find the right protein powder. I wasn’t fully aware of all the supplement options at first and sure, I found myself continuing to use WHEY protein and suffering the consequences (tut tut, Hannah).

I’ve tried and tested a fair share of vegan protein powders – some amazing, some awful. When I say awful then imagine eating a pile of dirt… Yup, lovely.

So, I thought it would be incredibly greedy of me to keep my new found plant protein love to myself. Vivo Life‘s protein powder, PERFORM: Raw Plant Protein & BCAA is quite simply outstanding. Now I don’t say that word very often but for this product it is quite simply the only way to describe it. The protein itself comes in two flavours: Madagascan Vanilla and Raw Cacao (note the cacao and not cocoa – there really is a difference!). I, myself am currently trying out the madagascan vanilla and the flavour truly does stand out – along with the colour of it too. You’re given a lovely green colour from the protein, thanks to it’s nutritious ingredients.

Vivo Life have managed to combine two key elements together: Health and performance. With details from their website Vivo Life describe their protein as: A high performance blend of four plant proteins and BCAA, providing 25g raw plant protein per serving with a complete amino acid profile. This includes the highly unique bio-fermented pea protein, which unlocks the power of pea protein without the use of heat (although, I still warm mine up in my morning oats!) Vivo Life have complimented this with raw organic hemp protein, raw organic spirulina and raw organic chlorella, creating an exceptionally bio-available and nutrient dense protein blend to upgrade your fitness performance.

I mean, that’s pretty impressive for just one protein powder, right?

But for me, the thing I love the most is how natural the protein is. I know for certain that i’m not filling my body with utter crap from ingredients that I can’t even pronounce.

I’m not the biggest fan of protein shakes (i’d rather eat it!) so I enjoy this protein in my bowl of morning oats topped with banana, strawberries, half a courgette (volume) and a helping of seeds and nuts for those all important healthy fats. For me, it’s the perfect post-workout fuel!

Overall, a big thumbs up from me for Vivo Life’s PERFORM: Raw Plant Protein with BCAA’s and quite possibly, my favourite thanks to it’s amazing ingredients and benefits!

I agree. This is a lot better than most of the vegan protein powders that I’ve tried!

I can’t eat meat, seafood, dairy, or sugar. But those healthy chocolate pumpkin doughnuts look great. wish I could eat them.

This vegan company created 100% home compostable packaging for their product. And I asked them if they could share their manufacturer info with me to do the same for my clothing company, and they refused! So they act like they care about the environment but won’t share the info so that they can claim to be the only ones to do it.
