REVIEW / Khaki Italian Leather Apple Watch Strap

by hannahandfitness

Oooo, what’s this, a post on a Monday evening? I hear you say. Well, what the devil! I thought I would treat you all to a read.

Truth is, I was so ramped up with anxiety last week because I had so much to do, that all the things I needed to get done (with my blog), just wasn’t touched. Nope, nothing. Zilch.  Funny that isn’t it? You have a ‘to do’ list as high as the sky yet you’ll do everything but that. I’ll wash my car, or i’ll watch the 108th episode of Gossip Girl, or i’ll hoover my bedroom, or heck, I might even clean the bathroom.

So yeah, I done everything but my to do list and on the weekend I payed the price. I had four recipes to make, photos to take, reviews to do *ahem*, workout videos to film and put together and a mahoosive shopping list to buy. A relaxed weekend? Hah, what’s that? And before I knew it, Monday came creeping round the corner. So here’s a delayed (but worthy) review on my new Apple Watch strap…

I’ll begin by admitting that i’ve totally fallen in love… In love with my new watch strap. Which by the way, I use my apple watch every single day for all my workouts! The strap itself is Italian leather, therefore it’s incredibly soft and guys – it’s KHAKI. You all know my love for khaki so the fact I now get to wear it everyday is pretty damn awesome. Gahh, khaki – I love you. I’ve been showing my strap off to practically everyone and I love how it feels like a brand new watch. It looks soooo different!

Beforehand, I had the white sports strap that came with my watch. It was fine, it done it’s job and really, I knew no better. Although, after a couple of months of having my watch I was hunting for a new strap – something more elegant and not so sporty.

I had come across the apple watch strap brand, Meridioband through my Instagram feed and so I liked a few of their photos and browsed their products. The colours were subtle yet beautiful and all the straps were handmade in Italy – allowing a perfectly good finish to the design. I knew what my favourites were – the tans, the dark blacks and the greens. I’m a sucker for autumnal/dark sophisticated colours.

It wasn’t until a few days after that I was surprisingly contacted by the company and asked if I would review one of their straps. Of course I said yes! So, I ended up choosing the Militarily Green (Khaki) musk strap and boy oh boy, I’m so glad I did. The strap itself is so complimentary, soft to touch and creates a beautiful contrast against my silver 32mm watch. You can have your strap tailored to your certain watch (colour and size) allowing a perfect fit.

The only thing I would personally change about the strap is the buckle. I would rather it be more shiner to match the steel of the watch itself. But, apart from that – I’ve completely fallen in love with my strap and I haven’t taken it off since (as you can probably tell from my Instagram feed)!

My watch is from the collection ‘Nappa’ and is currently going for $74. In my opinion, for the quality you get – a geninue real Italian leather strap that is a soft and lasting – is a good price. Although, like I said earlier, I would love if the buckle had been a different material.

So that’s that. My ‘fun’ adventitious past week of procrastination and a shiny new watch strap. Here’s to a new week of actually getting things done, sticking to a diet that doesn’t consist 90% of the banana bread recipe I baked last week (which you can find the recipe for here) and smashing my workouts.

Have a great week guys!
