4 Practical Tips & How to Reduce Weight For Summer

Although this article states ‘how to reduce weight for summer’ I do however, believe that a healthy lifestyle should be maintained and just that – a lifestyle, rather than it being viewed as a ‘summer’ thing.  With these practical tips from Luke I think they’re a great way to help kick your butt in gear and get going!


Summer is knocking on our door, and if you have not lost weight yet, it is not too late to start now. Losing that excess weight that crept on you while you were hibernating in your room doesn’t have to be a chore. In fact, losing weight can be incredibly easy, you just need to know what you’re doing.

Below you’ll find four things that’ll help you lose weight faster while feeling fabulous at the same time.

Drink more water

Drinking water is essential for losing weight because water hydrates our bodies and makes everything function better. Your muscles, organs, and even cells work better when you’re hydrated. Although even drinking coffee and tea counts, the safest way for losing excess weight is drinking ice-cold water. Drinking water that’s cold makes your body burn calories in order to raise the temperature of water to your body temperature.

Fast food is not healthy
, but you probably already know that. If you want to reshape your body, or just lose weight, then you need to say goodbye to McDonald’s, KFC, Burger King, and other fast-food joints. Consume calories necessary for your body to function by making homemade meals. You’ll burn calories while cooking, and you’ll put necessary fibers and protein into your body, instead of fat, which fast food is full of.

Steam your food, bake it, and even grill it, just do it the right way. If you truly want to lose weight, here’s what you should put on your plate:

  • Lentils – Lentils and other types of legumes are rich in dietary fiber, and they’ll lower your cholesterol levels significantly.

 

  • Eggs – Eggs are among the best foods you can eat if you want to lose weight. They contain almost all nutrients your body needs, and they’ll make you feel full, so you won’t get hungry for a long time after you eat them.

 

  • Fish – Eating all kinds of fish is generally great for losing weight, but if you really want to tone your body, you need to eat tuna. Tuna is popular among bodybuilders and models because there isn’t much fat in it. Just be sure to buy tuna canned in water, not in oil.

 

  • Nuts – Go nuts! Despite being high in fats, nuts are not especially fattening. If you need a snack, don’t eat chips and Oreos. Grab a handful of nuts and binge-watch your favorite TV series while you’re resting.

There’s no losing weight without working out, sorry. But, that doesn’t mean that you need to get a gym membership. You can work out at home; you just have to have comfy gym wear that’ll make your workouts feel easier than ever.

Putting on your gym wear is like putting a uniform. You’ll get used to working out in it, and you’ll feel a sense of responsibility every time you put your workout clothes on.

Just because you’re not going to the gym doesn’t mean that you don’t need to have a workout program. Find a workout program that suits your needs. There are many different fitness tutorials on the web, so be sure to try some of them. By doing that, you’ll find the one that suits your needs and then just stick to it. Don’t expect to see the results overnight, but if you notice that your body fat is not fading away – change the workout program.

Having a good time while dieting and working out is probably the most important when it comes to losing weight. Human beings love being motivated, and nothing motivates like pure, uncontrollable fun!

Dance and sing while you’re cooking healthy foods for yourself. You’ll feel much better, and you’ll burn a few extra calories at the same time, too!

If you have a treadmill at home and you plan on using it during your workouts, put it right in front of your TV. That way, you’ll be able to watch your favorite TV series or a movie while working out, and as a result, you’ll probably run more!

It doesn’t matter what kind of exercises for losing weight you’re doing as long as you eat healthy, follow a workout plan, and have fun! Don’t let summer catch you off-guard, start working out now and surprise everyone (including yourself) with your improved physique – whatever that may look like for you!
