I am often asked what supplements I take. Considering a lot of you know I’m sensitive to dairy I always get asked for recommendations of vegan protein powders that don’t taste like dirt. So, after wayyy too long (apologises!) I’m finally going to give you the answer.
Basically, the only supplement I take is protein powder. I’m looking into BCAA’S but that’s a different story. I used to and occasionally take WHEY protein powder – this being motion nutrition because it’s the only WHEY that doesn’t upset my stomach (and it tastes blimmin good), however I now try to be kinder to my stomach and take vegan protein powder. This being, STRIPPD. vegan protein powder.
Now the first question you’ll probably thinking is why? STRIPPD. protein is specially made to support women and only use natural ingredients that support a healthy and nutritious lifestyle. You’ll find no weird lab conventions or strange chemicals.. just the good stuff! Which for me, is always a bonus. I hate un-natural things going into my body and try to avoid this as much as possible!
Their vegan range is a premium plant-based protein made from a blend of whole-pea and hemp sources. This basically means it’s perfect for us non-dairy goers and vegans (me being the first). It contains all the essential amino acids which are important for maintaining lean muscles, healthy hair, skin and nails. If you follow me on my snapchat you’ll see that my nails never stop growing and for someone who used to struggle with nail breakages and peeling… well, it’s amazing!
Reviewing the powder in terms of maintaining lean muscles: Well, just like most protein powders I think it does the job. I’ve been using the protein for well over 2 months now (roughly) and I’ve definitely seen changes within my body. Now, i’m not saying this is just because of the supplement – of course you need to work hard! But with the two combined my body has become more lean, stronger and I think the bootay is growing! Hahaha, FINALLY.
I use the protein for my post-workout meals which is either proats (protein oats) or a protein omelette (which you can find the recipe for here). I only ever use protein once a day and try to get the rest of my protein in throughout the day from natural sources.
The flavours available are: Vanilla, berry and chocolate flavour. Vanilla being my favourite because it pairs well with most toppings! However, berry and chocolate are just as delicious. The chocolate doesn’t taste artificial either!
So there you have it, one of my favourite vegan protein brands! I’d also like to point out that this post is in no way sponsored or paid for. Just sharing what I love and what i’ve found finally works for my dairy sensitive stomach!
P.s being a graphic design nerd I also love the packaging. Clean, simple and well designed (sorry just had to get that in there!)
Have a lovely Sunday everyone,

The pancakes look so yummy!
I would love to try this! I’m using beef protein right now because of my dairy intolerance but I want to try something new! Is it pricey?
