Fitness related or not, October has been filled with lots of goodies. From my favourite cinema trip to my favourite gym friendly winter coat – I’ve rounded up all the things I’m loving right now…
Reebox Legacy lifters
I’ve had these babies for roughly 2 months now and whilst I wouldn’t usually spend £120+ on a pair of shoes (let alone weightlifting shoes), they’ve definitely been a favourite investment of mine this summer.
I bought the Reebox Legacy Lifters with the hopes that they’d make my lifts more stable and although it took me a while to get used to them, they have definitely helped. My feet no longer slip all over the place (very slip proof), my depth has increased and overall, they’re a lot more stable.
Pukka Turmeric
My local cafe makes the best turmeric lattes and although I was a little hesitant to try it at first (I mean, it doesn’t sound great, does it?), it’s my favourite new order every time I visit.
So, to save my bank balance a little, I thought I’d give my own turmeric latte a whirl at home and when I saw Pukka’s new latte blend at Tesco’s, I figured £4.99 was a hell of a lot better than spending £2.80 a pop. Thankfully, it lived up to my expectations and this past week I’ve been in turmeric latte heaven thanks to Pukka. It’s smooth, creamy and quite frankly, my new favourite hot drink.Â
Better Bodies Camo High Tights
If you follow me on Instagram then you’ll know that 1) I currently have a giveaway running (click here) for your chance to win a pair of these leggings and 2) I am obsessed with them.
I have a lot of leggings (believe me) but these ones take the crown. They’re incredibly flattering, sweat and squat proof and without doubt, they receive a compliment every time I go to the gym. Whilst they might be at the top of my budget (£89) when it comes to leggings, I 100% think they’re worth the money considering the quality of them.

A Star Is Born
Last week we visited West Quay’s Showcase Cinema to watch Gaga’s new film, A Star Is Born. It was my first trip to West Quay’s new Showcase cinema and honestly, it was lovely. Clean, sleek, new and sparkly. Plus, it comes equipped with recliner chairs. Game changer.Â
Anyway, the film itself was beautiful. In fact, it’s probably up there as one of my favourite romance films. I didn’t really know what to expect, nor did I think it would be my kind of film, but I absolutely loved it. I may not have cried but I have been playing the soundtrack on repeat ever since.
Bulldog Gear Gym Bag
Again, this is another goodie I’ve had for a couple of months. It’s by far the biggest and most robust gym bag I’ve ever had but my gosh, I love it. Inside it has a great little zipper that comes in handy when I want to store my CrossFit accessories such as my Bulldog skipping rope, wrist wraps and Picsil gloves. And then for the rest of the bag, I get to fill it up with my lifters, belt, BCAA’s, My Protein pre-workout, jumper and Bulldog foam roller. Yes, I can even squeeze my foam roller inside. Crazy, huh?

La Rocha Posay Effaclar Duo [+]Â
I’d love to say I have perfect skin, but I don’t. I suffer from combination skin and as soon as the colder months hit, my skin suffers from dryness and pesky spots.
Last year I purchased La Rocha Posay Anti-Blemish System (3 product kit) as a cry for help, and the only product I ended up sticking with was the Effaclar Duo [+]. Although it’s an anti-blemish moisturiser, I only use it on my blemished areas (often the side of my cheeks) and as a result, it’s been my favourite product for a whole year. I’d say that it works almost immediately. Whenever I have an angry spot about to rear, I dab it with a good amount of this product and within a day or two, it’s almost gone.
Dare 2b
I’ve got four pairs of Dare 2b coats, so I think it’s safe to say that I am indeed, a big fan of theirs. Last year I decided to go for a thick black Ski jacket (yes, I totally wore it as a day to day jacket) and a grey down fill insulated jacket. I lived between both coats throughout the winter of last year and they definitely kept me nice and toasty.
So, being the coat addict that I am, I couldn’t help myself to two more coats this year. One being their sodality hybrid jacket and the other being the same down fill insulated jacket but in red. So far I’ve practically lived in my red jacket and have received so many compliments. It’s the perfect addition to my 6.30am starts at the gym.
My Protein THE Pre-Workout+
A few weeks ago My Protein kindly gifted me with their new PHASETECH range and out of the three, the pre-workout has got to be my favourite. Compared to other popular brands, I’d say that the difference is noticeable with My Protein’s pre-workout. It has more of an intense kick, longer duration and doesn’t have a drastic ‘come down’ sensation.
